Thankfully they finally all did. Flood damage looks negligible too.

You do any heating with wood or is this just preventative property care being tackled?

Yes we warm ourselves with it. However, winter is short and, compared to much of northern Europe and America, not very cold. Couple that with a climate appropriate house...and we don’t use much wood for heating. Perhaps a couple of 8x4 box trailer loads per annum? So most of what we do is simply tidying up...

Decade or so ago in the middle of a week long cold front bringing highs to maybe -30 F here. A n Australian friend sent out a group email celebrating his big tech purchase for the year. A thermostat that looked to have been salvaged from the 70's and (unpictured) small furnace. Everyone US or EU based didn’t hesitate to pile on thinking it was a joke at our expense. It was not.

Patrol looks good.
